Regarding the recent Pandemic of the Coronavirus, we want to let our patients know that we are staying current with the ever-evolving recommendations from the CDC and other government entities, who are taking actions to reduce the impact of this new and as yet not thoroughly studied illness. We realize the seriousness of this pandemic, but are confident the vast majority of us will not become severely ill. Most people who contract Covid-19 will suffer a flu like illness, recover at home, and return to normal health. However, we all need to do our part to reduce the risk of spreading this infectious disease to at-risk families, friends and patients. As such, Prescott ENT and Allergy will do all we can to strike the challenging balance between caring for our patients, while also reducing the risk of spreading Covid-19. As we do so, we ask for your help in considering the following measures:
1) If you have developed a cough, sore throat or fever and/or flu like symptoms in the last 2 weeks; or if you have had contact within the last 2 weeks with anyone having these symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.
2) If you have recently visited a high-risk area for the Coronavirus, please reschedule your appointment.
Our practice is not currently providing testing or treatment for Coronavirus, flu, or similar respiratory illnesses. If you require medical attention for these issues, please contact or report to your family physician, urgent care or hospital.
If you have a cough but no fever or flu like symptoms (i.e. an allergic cough, or chronic cough present for 4 weeks or longer) please wear a face mask when entering our facility, and please use your hand sanitizer frequently. Given widespread shortages and hoarding practices, we do not have enough masks or hand sanitizer to provide to patients.
We will continue to keep you updated on this evolving situation. If you have further questions regarding the Coronavirus please follow this link to the CDC website. Thank you for your assistance in helping us reduce the risk of spreading this disease.
